In the interests of our staff wellbeing and also to reduce vehicle down-time we have built additional features into the system, including prompts for vehicle checks where our drivers can log and photograph any issues so that we can arrange speedier vehicle maintenance. “Once the items are dispatched, the customer receives an e-mail to say their order is on route. These routes are then tracked from our offices and timings are updated in line with driver location so our sales order processing teams can update customers with when their delivery is due for arrival and notify them of any delays. Satellite navigation also ensures drivers are re- routed to reduce hold-ups.
“As a bespoke addition to this system, we can also track our stillage’s to ensure that these are returned to our manufacturing site for re-filling and re-delivery.
