Jane joined the company three and a half years ago and her promotion reflects what she has achieved in this time.
Jane said, “Distinction Doors is a fantastic company to work for and I am delighted to accept the position of Business Development Executive. This move is part of my own personal development plan and I welcome the opportunity to now work with customers on a face to face level. These are exciting times for us as a business and it’s great to be a part of a dynamic and rewarding company.”
When Kestrel Aluminium Systems took Lock Lock to an official, independent test house for the PAS 24 assessment of a door, the handle withstood some of the most rigorous abuse ever seen on a test video for a product of this type and can be seen at www.bit.ly/2GqN2IW.

As a business, we value our people and have a culture of rewarding excellence. Jane’s promotion reflects over three years of excellent work within our internal sales department and her passion and enthusiasm will be welcomed by our customers, both existing and new, in her new external sales position.”

Lock Lock is not only being increasingly adopted by the locksmith sector, but also by aluminium systems houses such as Kestrel, their respective fabricators and also by the entrance door sector as a whole. It’s based on a registered edgeless design that’s not only beautiful in appearance but is purposeful in application, as the handle body cannot be grabbed by tools for forceful removal.

PVC-U systems supplier VEKA Group has launched a brand new marketing portal for VEKA and Halo customers and members of Independent Network and the Installer Programme.
Marketing Director Dawn Stockell explains: “Customers were delighted when we unveiled our industry- leading, innovative web-to-print portals. These allowed them to sign in and personalise professionally written and designed brochures, adverts and more, at the touch of a button and a fraction of the cost they might have expected. All items were pre- populated with address details and logo, so it took minimal effort to order a ‘bespoke’ set of literature. This offering built up over time and each aspect went live as soon as it was ready, which led to more than one username and password being required. “Successful marketing support is not just the provision of

services, but also how they are delivered. We want customers and members to thoroughly understand what is available and exactly how to use it. That’s why we decided to overhaul the existing portal system to make it even more useful. The marketing portal is a fantastic ‘all in one’ online resource of marketing materials which is accessed by a single sign in. Simple as that! No more remembering multiple usernames and passwords. Everything’s in one place and tailored to you. One login can potentially enable you to; order branded workwear and brochures, personalise literature, search a high res image library of products you offer, access digital assets such as web banners and Facebook Adverts, manage and store all sales leads and control various elements of your website. Some users can even access templated T&Cs, contracts and more.”

developed in a really interesting way over the years. Rather than simply becoming bigger, we have become more specialised; with the capacity to provide bespoke styles and special colours to local homes and businesses and deliver to installation companies across the country. We recently took some bespoke doors from Coventry to Cornwall, which demonstrates the fact that our products are increasingly being sought out across the length and breadth of the UK. “VEKA Group has been a great partner for us, as Halo systems have allowed us to create windows that have all the energy efficiency benefits of PVC-U, but look like timber. Our ‘Prestige Collection® has gained recognition throughout the industry for being a great timber alternative, and our new small composite door, Tinidor is gaining ground too. We’re proud that products like these have set us head and shoulders above the competition.”

The Coventry company was established in April 1988 and has built up a loyal clientele of both trade and domestic customers over the last three decades.Director Michael Hagan explains: “We’re very proud to be celebrating this milestone, especially in such a competitive sector, where lots of window and door companies have come and gone over the years.
“I think the secret to our success has been that we have adapted with the marketplace and not hesitated in following our instincts. In 2006, we went from being an installation company – to being a fabricator, and haven’t looked back. We maintained the same commitment to quality, and so our reputation for attention-to- detail thrived. “The company has
